Poorna M is joining the team!
about 2 years ago – Sun, Apr 10, 2022 at 01:14:28 PM

Thank you everyone for pushing us to get Poorna M on the team! We are so excited for what she'll be creating (it's definitely going to be a spooky time).

Next stretch goals...

Our stretch goal at the $20,000 mark is…

MORE ITEMS BY AMANDA!

Each room has its own items that players can choose to tell the story from and attempt to collect memories by rolling dice. However, as we played the game, we realized “What if someone doesn’t like the items that we have already in the room? Why not give more variation in the different items in each room? We can just make a sheet of them and let players cut them out and paste them over the rooms!” So Amanda, our lead illustrator and art director has decided that she would create even more items!

Our stretch goal at the $24,000 mark is…

A scenario written by Mabel Harper!

Mabel Harper is a musician, writer, and game designer residing in Philadelphia. Through narratives inspired by her own experiences as a trans Filipina woman, she candidly explores topics such as trauma, queerness, dissociative identity disorder, and the complications of intimacy, with a DIY ethic and a sincere, if critical, love for genre fiction. When she's not telling stories, she can usually be found plopped in front of her laptop playing Morrowind or scouring the internet for obscure alchemical texts.

Mabel will be writing a 1980s scenario and we are gushing over how cool this is going to be (because she is so cool).

Thanks and let's get more folks on the team!

9K hit and a new pledge level!
about 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 31, 2022 at 08:35:14 PM

THANK YOU! We're so excited with all the support that we've received so far! We decided to create a new pledge level—Valedictorian ($300)! For folks who are interested in playing with the designers online over Zoom and Google Slides, they will get a chance to at this level.

Actual plays

If you are interested in seeing what a playthrough of it looks like using Google Slides, you can check out some actual plays! Keep in mind that the Slides doc that you see in both of the actual plays below are not the final version that has been laid out by our graphic designer yet.

ALSO we also noticed how popular the Dean's List ($110) reward level is so we've added 25 extra pledges!

Alright, now for even more fun...

Introducing more collaborators!

Amber Seger (they/she/he) is our logo graphic designer. You can find them and their work on Twitter.

Dare Hickman (she/they/fae) is our art's sensitivity reader. You can find her and their work on Twitter.

quinn b. rodriguez (they/she) is our sensitivity reader. You can find them and her work on Twitter.

Thank you all again! If you can, please share this campaign with your friends so we can get closer to hitting those stretch goals!

Over $11K and a new ghost friend
about 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 31, 2022 at 06:48:44 PM

Thank you everyone for getting us past 70%! We polled Twitter on what we should give away when we reach $11k and someone suggested a ghost friend. We offered a ghost as an option...and of course it won the poll. So Banana decided to copy Amanda's style (so sorry Amanda) and create a ghost paper doll that you can download for FREE and use for the game! Austin has also offered to create a character sheet specifically for this ghost friend when we hit $12k.

And now to introduce more collaborators!

Drak (he/they) is a scenario writer. You can find him and their work on Twitter.

Noordin Ali Kadir (he/him) is a scenario writer. You can find him and his work on Twitter.

(Evil) Jeff Fraser (he/him) is a scenario writer. You can find him and his work on his website.

Thanks everyone and let's push it to $12k for that SPOOPY CHARACTER SHEET.

100% FUNDED! Now to introduce Poorna M!
about 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 31, 2022 at 06:29:33 PM

Thank you so much for helping us get this game funded! We wouldn’t be able to do it without you! We are currently working with Austin Taylor and Jon Merchant on laying out a custom ghostly character sheet that you can use for your ghost paper doll. If you haven't seen it already, you can get it here.

Now it’s time for us to announce who will be working with us on our stretch goals!

Our first stretch goal writer at the $16,000 mark is…

A scenario written by Poorna M!

Poorna M is an aspiring writer and freelance development consultant who stumbled into the world of TTRPGs four years ago and has been consumed by it ever since. She muses about mental health (among other things) through her slice-of-life webcomic (@metacheez on Instagram).

We are so excited to see what Poorna has come up with. Something tells us that she’ll be writing a scenario about a spooky modern swamp town. We can’t wait to share it with all of you!
